Basic Scanning
 
 
Description

 

This course will give students a general understanding of how to scan media, such as photographs and text documents, into the computer, and then use them in programs such as Microsoft Word (2 hours).
 
Goals
  To increase student success by showing students how to effectively use the Academic Computing Center scanners to enhance their college work.
Outcomes - At the conclusion of the class, students will be able to:

1.

Scan a photograph or graphic and save it to digital media, such as a memory stick, floppy or zip disk.
2.
Scan a text document and edit it in Microsoft Word.
3. Insert a scanned picture or graphic into Microsoft Word.
4.
Copy a document using a scanner and printer.
